Mirsad Nurković (Vorsitzender des Ausschusses für Wirtschaft, Finanzen und Haushalt des montenegrinischen Parlamentes), Kay Scheller (Präsident des Bundesrechnungshofes) & Nikola N. Kovačević (Präsident des Rechnungshofes Montenegro).

During the visit of a delegation from Montenegro to our branch office in Potsdam, the participants agreed: "We want to strengthen our cooperation."

The delegation consisted of members of the Parliament of Montenegro (Committee on Economy, Finance and Budget) and representatives of the State Audit Institution of Montenegro.

Moving forward together

Closer cooperation was not the only focus of the three-day visit. We also want to support the State Audit Institution of Montenegro in building its capacities in the long term. To this end, we discussed basic organisational and structural aspects. Our cooperation with the Parliament, particularly in the context of the annual reporting procedure, was also a topic that we highlighted in the interest of our guests.

On the last day of their visit, the delegation attended a session of the Public Accounts Committee and had the opportunity to meet a number of Members of the Bundestag.

Background

The EU SAIs regularly exchange views and information on general and specific state audit issues at European level. Our aim is to assist other SAIs in building their expertise and harmonising their rules and procedures in compliance with institutional standards applicable to SAIs.
