Mr Kay Scheller received the prize in the form of a magnifying glass for his extraordinary achievements in the field of external auditing, which he promotes in a friendly but always firm manner.
Kay Scheller, the President of the German SAI, has received the "Award for an extraordinary act in the field of public audit" from the Czech SAI. The awards ceremony took place during the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Czech Supreme Audit Office in Prague on 25-26 September 2023. The prize was handed over to Mr Scheller by Mr Miloslav Kala, President of the Czech Supreme Audit Office.
Supreme Audit Institutions examine thoroughly how governments spend taxpayers’ money. We make problems visible and give recommendations. SAIs rely on the strong commitment of their staff. I dedicate this prize to my dear colleagues at the German SAI.
